Well hello,
After a long summer I think I am ready to get back into this blogger world.
As most of you already know I will be going to Judi's in a few days and I just can't wait, Wendy and I went shopping today and bless her heart she does put up with me and some of the things I want to buy, I know that I am 70 years old but I just can't seem to dress that way, 70 what ever that is?????????????? Wendy did manage to sneak a real cute top from me, thought she was helping me shop, then we get to the car and she had the nerve to put it on, some things never cease to amaze me,well bloggers will sign off for now and hope you all have a great week I know that I will.

Thanks to all for the Birthday wishes,cards,and phone calls for Jackie.
I wanted to take him out for dinner and he decided on Dockside so off we went about 6:30 knowing it was Wed. and would not be to many people out and about.
When we arrived saw a few people we knew did the chit chat thing ordered our drinks and dinner,(there was a party going on in the back room, you know who you were)then we waited and we waited and waited some more, when our dinner finally arrived we were informed that it was on the house due to the fact that it had taken so long. But long story short what's not to love about a free dinner for two.
Got to run for now I am going to power wash our deck and get it ready to be stained.

Here I am posting again twice in one day.
Thanks for the comments. Today I got my first letter from my grandson Josh as some of you know he just enlisted in the Marines and he is in boot camp at Parris Island,SC.
But I also need to get back to my trip to Judi's again what a great trip that was and seeing how well grounded my other grandchildren are, what a nice thing for a grandparent to see and be a part of, when we are young we marry and have children and then hope that they grow up to the best of their potential and then you have grandchildren oh my goodness it's like having children all over again except you have no control, because now that is up to the parents (our children) and of course I have other grandchildren here as well and talking with Mark is very enlighting, he just knows about a variety of so many different things and it is just so fun to talk with him.
Marisa is so smart and knows so much about what is going on in the world and will keep you on your toes. Sam is so into sports and cheer and is doing great.

As you all know I just got back from Judi's, still trying to get caught up on REST, it was a non stop trip, from the time Alexi picked me up at the airport till I landed in Norfolk on Monday night.10 days of fun,fun,fun.
Alexi,Zach and I were so afraid that Judi knew something about the surprise,but the look on her face when I opened the door was priceless.
A big thanks to my son-in-law for making all that possible.
Dinner with Gary was great and was nice to be able to spend some time in his new home. Will leave all the picture posting to Alexi,Judi and Gary.
I will try and post pics of my new gnomes when they arrive sometime early next week.

Well we did the Blogger Blast and then the SDV and what else can I say that the girls have not already posted but gosh we had so much fun. I wish that everyone could spend that time with their daughters or mother and enjoy it as much as I did.
Judi is home and we have gone on with our lives here as everyone else has but we will remember all our good laughs and fun and all the people that have touched our lives. Sometimes when a person is having this much fun we don't notice that those around us are picking up on our vibes and getting a great deal of enjoyment out what we are doing or saying.

Well I got some time to blog we have been on the go since Judi got here and of course I love it. Thank you all again for a great time on Friday Night at the blast it was so nice to meet all of you. what a good time we will have next year.LOL
We are off tomorrow to the SDV for the week-end and we will come back on Sunday,look out depends we will be needing plenty of them. Just packing and getting our scrap stuff ready is a job.

Today was great went with Amanda and Wendy to buy flowers,fun to help in some small way.
Sometimes the younger ones don't know what it means to us older folks to be included in the things that they are doing,but it is great and I love them for all that,the fact that they do share with me.
That is why they are letting me go to the Blogger Blast and SDV.
I am trying to keep up cause they told me that I needed to blog so here I am sharing my thoughts and did not mean to ramble on so will talk with you folks later.

We went for a morning walk and what we found I ended up eating for breakfast there were oranges, apples, cumquat's, figs,lemons and avocados.

lots of different flowers and small animals,didn't eat any of these.

What a great way to start a day and to be with those you love.

Some of Judi's other pets,but they did not want to rest like Avi and myself and they sure could not read nor take pictures, so I went to the local hardware store and got some food for them, which they really seem to enjoy so Avi and I gave them three helping.
they seem to like this very much, we watched for about two day,then Avi wanted to try to take another picture and this was the results.

In case anyone is interested this food product is called Terro .

These are some that wanted to hang around for after hours, this stuff really works. see ya

One of Judi's two cats, I said when I came out here that I was just going to visit with family and beeeeee and that is what Avi and I did yesterday, but I have not been able to teach her how to use my new camera that I got for my birthday, therefore there is only the picture of her.

Lets just make one thing clear right now I may be slow but do not count me out . I have been busy getting ready for my trip to Judi's and Pete's and gosh I can't wait, just to lay around and do nothing and read and visit with my grandchildren and just BEEEEEEE.
What a great place to just BE and just reflect. Don't have to cook, clean, who could ask for more.
Will try and keep you all posted or if I can't then I'm sure Judi will be sending pics.

Enjoyed every blog and tried to respond.
Had a great day with my granddaughter Marisa
just kind of stayed close to home and went next door and feed their fish, they have gone off hiking and staying at a bed and breakfast.
Marisa and I feed the outside animals and then sat back and watched as they came up and ate, she did enjoy watching the deer that came to eat that close to the house, so maybe I will set out the night camera and see what we have roaming around at night,she will like that.

Guess it's time for me to blog again, it's Sunday. lol
It is so hot here there is nothing one can do outside, wait for the day to cool down and then go out and water, water, water, and hope that all you have planted will not die.
We are supposed to have thunder storms tonight sometime before midnight, but they may only be thunder storms and no rain.
Did enjoy watching my granddaughter's ball game yesterday, they sure do take that stuff serious. Will be with one of the other granddaughters tomorrow and maybe we can go for a swim . Sure hope I can get better at this blogging thing.

Today for us was just a lazy day.
Read a little bit and talked with Hot Mama.
Am so looking forward to my trip to Southern Calif. can't wait will celebrate my birthday there.
Hubby will be in Dallas at the same time so will not go with me but that just means that we can go again sometime in the fall, woo hoo

My friend Margaret and I did a little scrapping and I did manage to make a few cards . Need to get busy making more serving pieces, (wire wrapped with beads) sold my last one today.

Was never able to attend Alexi and Zach's Graduation and boy do I regret that, what a wonderful time in a young persons life, just think 18 years old people oh my gosh what we would all give to be there again and of course know what we know now. Did enjoy being there for Josh and having all the special people in his life at his party.

Well kids here I am again, had good day and thanks Missy for the dirty rice
Did some work today but mostly did some thinking about what I was going to take to Judi's for clothes, when a person is gone for 20 days you have to be careful as to what to pack,cold and hot.
Went outside tonight and lo and below there was a skunk just walking around and enjoying our yard and of course snow(our cat) was just sitting there watching it like it was another cat.
boy that would have been great inside the house as she is and inside outside cat. When I learn how to post pics I will be glad to share.

There was a little excitement today, someone we know was just bitten by a fox that had rabies and he will have to get the treatments and now I am afraid to feed the ones that have been coming into our yard. I went down to get the mail and heard a rustle in the leaves in the ditch by our mail box and when I stepped forward there was a raccoon he ran in the water drain and I ran like H___ getting back to the house. I was informed that they can run faster than me,but not today even surprised myself, didn't know this ole lady could run so fast.
Does anyone know what ant lions are? Go to google and put in ant lions,very interesting creatures,more like my speed and we have lots of them.

Hello again,will try and catch up once again.
Have had a busy week,been try to get my house work done early because of the heat, yesterday in town it was 110,100 here in the shade kind of hard to get a lot done unless you are inside.
Next Sat. my third oldest grandchild will graduate from high school and sure hope its not this hot.
Yes my thirds oldest, we have six Alex, Zach, Josh, Mark, Marisa, Sam.
They seem to be growing faster than their parents or maybe I'm just getting older (not me)
Sure hope to spend some time in Ca. in August am already looking forward to it.
well its f & f day for me along with some other things, trying to decide what to have for dinner because its so hot maybe just some crab salad will work,my guy does like his food.

Well here I am again, sure have missed being here but think that I have everything fixed now.
Will have to go back and read all the blogs to catch up and then I will get back to everyone.
Not much going on around here Jack and I cooked 35 Steaks at International Paper today and the temp was about 80 or better (Steak,baked potato,salad iced tea, rolls and cheese cake)I knew Gary would want to know.
Just wanted to tell everyone that I have really enjoyed our contact through this blog and hope we can continue if i can keep up with what everyone is doing.

Looks like another great day in my corner of the world.
Maybe do a little shopping and try and find a few bargains, need to pick up a few things from Farm Fresh, love their crab salad.
Now that our hole digger is gone can't seem to catch anything on our night vision camera, I'm sure the critters weren't hanging around waiting for him to clear the way.
Gig last nights dinner was B-B-Q spare ribs with baked beans and cole slaw and lemon cream cake and of course iced tea.
Shout out to all our Troops and all they do to keep us safe.

Well we think that we have finally found out what was digging some of the holes, set out a soft catch trap and low and behold we caught our selves a nice black and white skunk( sun skunks as they are called here).
Now what do you do with a skunk well you stay as far away a possible, for the last two nights his friends have come looking for him or her which ever the case maybe and they are not very happy they keep leaving us a nice smell, my neighbor made the mistake of leaving her windows and doors open, so much for airing out your house.
Jack and I helped cook yesterday at church it was hard work but we really enjoyed the fellowship with every one, did not sell as many tickets as we wanted to, but we managed to find good homes for what we had left, fixed some much chicken I started to grow feathers. Women's Ministry always do such nice things, great bunch of women.
My granddaughter Marisa is coming over to stay with me tonight so guess I better get busy and finish my work. Have a great one all and will check in later.

What a great week-end did some more yard work and of course my friend Margaret had to bring more plants for me to put in the ground, did get them in before we had some rain.
My neighbor was not able to catch our digger on camera so I am going to try tonight. He was going for a trap today,sure can't wait to see what kind of critter it really is, we have so many out here and I do enjoy them but most are just looking for something to eat and this one is also but the others don't dig.

Well last night was a great time, we fed about 120 people and everyone had more than enough, we had beef tenderloin, snaps, dirty rice and ice tea, cake for desert, all seemed to enjoy.
Have really been busy trying to plant some new plants in my yard and freshen up what I all ready have, my friend Margaret has been helpful and with her help I might end up with a green thumb instead of a black one.
Today Jack cooked with the Ruritan club, they had a cook off and won 3rd place, peoples choice.
Still have not found out what is digging holes in our yard, we now have a motion camera and hope we can catch what is causing all the holes.

Hello again thought I would answer Gary's question, sorry I forgot to mention that our new friend is 2 fox and they are great to watch, my neighbor is not to pleased because they are digging holes in his yard,told him today if he would feed them they would not dig.
Jack and I went to Sam's club today and spent over $1000.00 on food for him to cook for his ladies night at the Bronco Club for you that do not know what this is it is a hunting club for people that work or have worked a Internation Paper which at one time was Union Camp.
Well so much for that.

Just getting back on so a quick up-date on my friend digging holes,well it seems a tho I have two so I started to feed them and they gave up digging.
Had a great Mothers Day the girls always give me such nice things one year it was a DVD of past pictures, then it was the scrap album they each did their on thing and then put it all together, this year it was flowers and a tree hanger and a letter,and then I cry. "My Girls" never cease to amaze me,do love them so and they are one of God's greatest gifts.

Well I finally got back on. Was today great or what, got a few things done, finished a project for a friend of mine.
Did a little shopping needed to get a gift for my granddaughter her B-Day is next Sat. Then Jack's will be on the 13th and he will be the big 70, and I knew him when he was 17.
Need to get outside and water some new plants that i just put in, have also been trying to figure out what is digging holes in our yard, neighbor seems to think that it is either skunk or fox or opossum or could be raccoon, maybe I can watch tonight around bedtime and see what is going on.
